A four-day, world building retreat at a villa in the Catskill Mountains designed to help you unplug from the digital world, reconnect with yourself and your community, and center your own aliveness. Led by Lindsay MacMillan.
October 1-4, 2026
THE AUTUMN RESET
World Building is most effective when you can step away from the hustle and tap into your wise self’s visionary ideas.
THE AUTUMN RESET RETREAT IS BUILT TO HELP YOU DO JUST THAT.
The vibe: No laptops, minimal phones, and no pressure to “optimize” yourself or figure out your five-year plan.
Just a chance to unplug for the weekend at a beautiful house in the Catskills, with nourishing food, slow mornings, creative play, nature, soul friendships, stargazing, and deep spaciousness.
This is a retreat for ambitious women and nonbinary people who are feeling burned out or in need of a spacious, restorative weekend upstate with a small group of wildly inspiring creatives and founders.
What you’re saying yes to:
Slow mornings.
Hiking through the Catskill Mountains and soaking up the gorgeous foliage.
Wandering around the grounds on a solo walk.
Curling up with a good book.
A table covered with art supplies
Space for painting, writing, collaging, reading, dreaming.
Long conversations and belly laughs over dinner.
A movie night watching an early 2000s rom com.
Exploring the picturesque local small towns.
Two beautiful private-chef dinners.
Bonfires under the stars.
New friends in your soul family.
Making things simply because it feels good to make them.
There’s no expectation that you arrive with a project.
There’s no requirement to produce anything while you're here.
You’re allowed to simply experience your life and receive whatever it is that you’re meant to receive this weekend.
The Agenda:
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1st
Arrival: 5pm onward
Settle into the house, meet everyone, explore the grounds, and get cozy.
We'll have dinner together at home, cooked by a private chef, and gather for an opening circle, before we end the first night with some stargazing.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd
Wake up when you wake up.
Drink coffee, journal, read, wander the grounds.
There will be an optional morning hike for anyone who wants to explore.
After a casual lunch, we’ll have an open creative afternoon with art supplies throughout the house. You can paint, write, make a collage or vision board, read, take a nap, or get some outdoors time.
That evening, we'll go into town for an elegant dinner, followed by a movie night back at the house.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3rd
Another slow morning followed by plenty of unstructured time.
Spend the day outside, work on a creative project, read, rest, or join an optional afternoon trip into the local small town.
In the evening, we'll come back together for a beautiful private-chef dinner at the house, and a final bonfire and ritual under the stars.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4TH
We'll share breakfast and a closing circle together before the retreat concludes at 11am.
You'll leave feeling restorative in your mind, body, and soul, connected to your creative spark and to new friends.

Meet your experience guide.
Lindsay MacMillan is a bestselling novelist, poet, speaker, and creative entrepreneur who left a career on Wall Street to build a life centered around storytelling, creativity, and freedom.
Her work explores what happens when we stop following the default path and begin building lives that actually feel like our own.
She'll facilitate the weekend, but this isn't a retreat where you'll spend three days sitting in workshops listening to Lindsay talk. The house, the people, the conversations, the land, and the space itself are the experience.

You’ll receive exact addresses when we get closer to retreat time! For planning purposes, the house is located close to the villages of Catskill and Hudson, and about 30 minutes from Hunter and Windham. We will go into one of the closer villages for dinner one night. We recommend flying into a NYC area airport. The house is about a 2 hour drive from there, and we will collect flight information to allow for carpooling ahead of time. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the house, but all adventures during the weekend are included!
-
The house is 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and settled on 4 acres of private property. Once there, you’ll find:
Movie theater with projector, popcorn machine, and karaoke setup;
Game room with pool table, foosball, air hockey, and arcade games;
Secret speakeasy bar with LP record player;
Fire pit area with 12 Adirondack chairs and string lighting;
Hot tub with seating for 6 and a barrel sauna;
Gourmet kitchen, stocked with food for breakfast and snacks;
A beautiful deck overlooking the yard;
A cozy attic for writing or creation time
-
We’ll stock the house with breakfast foods (and will ask ahead of time about your dietary needs). Lunch will be ordered in from local restaurants, and dinners will either be hosted in one of the villages (for one night) or cooked by a private chef (for the other two nights). You can expect the home to be fully stocked with coffee, tea, snacks and other basics at all times.
The world is only getting noisier. The goal of the Reset is to give you a moment to step away and listen.
We will honor the energy of fall; discuss what it looks like to harvest and compost; and build incredible collaborations that spark creative light.
If your soul is craving a break, this experience is for you.
